New Regulations for Gas Station Owner/Operator (effective September 1, 2011) |
| Long checklist for required inspections (daily for Stage 2 equipment or with each fuel delivery for Stage 1 equipment). | Check hoses and nozzles on a regular basis to ensure there are no gasoline leaks. |
| Maintain daily inspection logs. | Daily logs no longer required. Log only when check for leaks. |
| Train employees to perform equipment inspections and maintain training logs. | Require annual and semi-annual equipment testing to be done by certified technicians. |
| File required inspection reports with the agency. | Testers will submit pass/fall test reports to the agency. Stations will need to keep copies on site for two years after the testing date and make them available to inspectors upon request. |
