Retailer Resources
The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, Pierce County and City of Tacoma
are proud to offer the Wood Smoke Reduction Program. We recognize
that these important air-quality improvements only happen through
our partnerships with area utilities, retailers and contractors.

Program documents required for reimbursement
In order to secure funds, a Proof of Work Order must be submitted to the Clean Air Agency, either online or via fax, when the customer orders the new heating device. The retailer/contractor will receive an e-mail back from an agency representative confirming the availability or depletion of program funds so you know whether to continue with the completion of sale and installation.
In order for a retailer or contractor to be reimbursed for a redeemed coupon, after the installation is completed you must submit a signed Certificate of Destruction form ensuring the old wood stove or insert was rendered inoperable and will be surrendered to a recycler to be used only as scrap. Additionally, a Recycling Report is due within 30 days of submitting the Certificate of Destruction, to verify the old device has been properly scrapped.
We recommend you print out and follow the steps on the Retailer Checklist to ensure proper documentation for reimbursement.
These forms are included in the packet sent to participating retailers/contractors. You may download additional copies here.
